On Wednesday, 21 October 2015 from 10:00 to 14:00, the university's annual "Market of Opportunities" will take place. The University Library will have a stand in the main entrance area.

We cordially invite all first-year students and anyone else who is interested to find out more about what we have to offer.

Among other things, we will be showing simple tips on literature research that can make studying a lot easier.

14-15 June 2015 - Uni­ver­sity Lib­rary book bazaar

On 14 and 15 June 2015, Paderborn University Library is organising a book bazaar.

Around 8,500 books from almost all departments, especially from the fields of theology and economics, will be on offer.

The proceeds will be used to purchase new information media.

on 15.06.2015 from 11.00 to 15.00
near the Information Centre in rooms BI2.126 to BI2.129.

14.06.2015 - Open day

On Sunday, 14 June 2015, the university will open its doors on the university campus on Warburger Straße and invites all interested parties to get a taste of science.

The University Library will also be taking part with the following programme:

  • BOOK BASAR
  • EXHIBITION "Of bugs, fireflies and birds"
  • GUIDED TOURS "Digitisation of historical books"
    As part of its proactive strategy of providing electronic information media, the University Library is digitising historical books and making them available for worldwide use. These include volumes that are relevant for researching the history of the city and region. We will show you how a book gets online.

In cooperation with the Federal Employment Agency, the four Rotary clubs from Paderborn are inviting students to this year's Paderborn Careers Information Day on 7 February 2015 at Paderborn University.

In individual events, pupils will be given the opportunity to gain an insight into various professions on campus.

Paderborn University Library is taking part in the event as part of the presentation of the book trade/publishing/library careers.
