Events 2016

17.11.2016: "Short day of scientific work"

On Thursday, 17 November 2016, from 13:00 to 19:00, the Competence Centre for Writing, the University Library and the Writing Meeting for International Students invite students from all disciplines to take part in short workshops on the topic of academic writing.

We will talk about how the path "from reading to writing" takes place and how the acquired knowledge is reproduced in one's own words "without plagiarising". As scientific literature is required for this process, we will show which search tools and strategies can be used to search for literature and how it can be processed with the help of the Citavi literature management programme.

In addition to the short workshops, we also offer individual counselling on writing and literature searches.

The short workshops take place in the library's Notebook Café, and advice is available from 1pm to 7pm at the library's Information Centre. Registration is not necessary.
